Dr Vaibhav Tiwari is a consultant nephrologist at Sir Ganga Ram hospital. He has immense experience in the management of renal disorders including renal transplantation. After completing super specialitytraining in Nephrology from SSKM and IPGMER, Kolkata, he joined the Nephrology team of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. It is the first hospital in the private sector in which kidney Transplantation was performed.
He is an integral part of the team which has performed more than 5000 kidney transplants including more than 200 ABO incompatible transplants. He pioneered the placement of tunnelled catheters (Permcath) in the nephrology departmentand to date, he has performed more than 100 tunnelled catheters
